Holly shared this: “This classic 4 piece box has been a favorite of many of my students and is relatively easy even if you are unfamiliar with origami. These boxes are wonderful for small gifts or party favors. The bottom is the traditional one-piece masu box. You will want to join this class just to learn the masu box!”

Holly is very active in the community. She started doing origami at age 8 when a Japanese lady came to teach the traditional crane at her Sunday school. She was the 2020 recipient of the Carl Dobbs award from Vancouver’s Downtown Association after doing a number of storefront art installations using origami folded by many community folders. She teaches monthly origami classes at Burnt Bridge Cellars.
