Rewriting the Story of Survivorship
Our purpose is to provide women with the tools that enable them to thrive throughout their breast cancer journey.
We do so by hosting a range of services, including patient and survivor retreats and support groups, and by connecting people to valuable resources for information and support. Year after year, we are fortunate to help hundreds of people in Portland and Southwest Washington. Yet, each year, over 3,000 people in our region are diagnosed with breast cancer. It's a diagnosis that impacts their loved ones, too. To continue our programs and expand our reach we need help. Whether you are affected by breast cancer, know someone who is, or simply wish to support this cause, there is a path for you with us.
Each year over 3,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer in our region.

Turn Clark County Pink!
Waste Connections’ pink recycling cart project was inspired by a relative of the company’s executive, Rob Nielsen. Rob’s sister-in-law, Deedra Rosamond, passed away at age 35 after a long battle with stage 4 breast cancer. It was one of Deedra’s final wishes for her family to continue to support a local breast cancer charity. Her struggle inspired Rob and his wife, Desiree, to help make the pink cart project a reality, now known among Waste Connection staff as “Deedra’s Dream.”
With a minimum donation of $100, you may have one of these unique carts delivered to you. Thanks to the generosity of Waste Connections, 100% of the proceeds go to Pink Lemonade Project. Upgrade to a pink cart today!
By ordering, you are choosing to have Waste Connections replace your blue recycle cart with a 95 or 65 gallon pink recycling cart. If Waste Connections damages your cart, they will replace it at no charge. If the cart is damaged by the customer or it is stolen, the customer will need to make another donation to Pink Lemonade Project for a replacement as they become available.
This opportunity is currently only available to residents of Clark County who subscribe to Waste Connections’ services. For further questions, please contact Brittany Pratt, brittany@pinklemonadeproject.org or (360) 953-2469.
