Eleven years ago, Mike Llorenete, co-owner of Main Event Sports Grill lost a co-worker and close friend to a tragic car accident, leaving young Shayli MacNiel without a father. Through this devastating tragic loss Mike felt compelled to help Shayli in some way. Mike founded the Main Event Golf Tournament 11 years ago to raise money for Shayli, so that she would have a financially secure childhood. In 2021 Mike decided to share the proceeds raised with a local Vancouver, Washington non-profit organization. Pink Lemonade Project is honored to have been selected as the non-profit.
